Immersive space system development and deployment

In 2022 alongside Stefan Kraus and Wieland Hilker I assisted the technical development and deployment of an immersive space in Istanbul, Turkey, in a place called Hope ALKAZAR which is a cultural space sponsored by Nike.

An old cinema room is used as an immersive projection space with all walls and floors projected, and several interactive sensors deployed.

My task was the research and development using the then-new Oak-D sensors, assisting Wieland with system development task (media playback and realtime immersive content) as well as testing. I was then the first one to go on ground in Istanbul to set up the system and perform sensor calibration and first immersive and interactive content tests. The interactive content was made by Stefan and Wieland, while non-interactive by Onion Lab.
